Italian rock queen Gianna Nannini and visionary director Matteo Garrone will be awarded the “Ischia William Walton Legend Award 2024” and the “Ischia Truman Capote Award 2024”, respectively. The awards will be presented to the two great artists during the 22nd edition of the Ischia Global Film & Music Festival on the green island July 7-14.
“We will celebrate two Italian legends in the world,” announced Tony Renis, honorary president of the festival, “by honouring two important careers built with their unmistakable creative genius. We are proud to pay tribute to them,” concluded Renis.
The Ischia Global Film & Music Festival, produced and founded by Pascal Vicedomini, and chaired by Jim Sheridan is created with the support of MiC’s DG Cinema and Audiovisual and the Campania Region. The event is promoted by the Accademia Internazionale Arte Ischia together with Siae, Riflessi-Made In Italy, Givova and Vulcano Buono.
