AMEDEO MINGHI FETED WITH THE “ISCHIA GLOBAL MUSIC AWARD” AT ISCHIA GLOBAL FEST 2024

Amedeo Minghi was honoured at the Ischia Global Film & Music Festival 2024 with the prestigious ‘Ischia Global Music Award’. He was celebrated during yesterday’s awards evening at La Tenuta Incanto in Forio.

Amedeo Minghi was born on 12 August 1947 in Rome and is a famous Italian singer-songwriter and composer with a musical career spanning more than 50 years. In the 1960s, he was part of the beat group ‘I Noemi’ and composed ‘Una cosa stupida’. As a soloist with ‘Dischi Ricordi’, he mixed Italian melodrama with songwriting. He has written for Mietta, Mia Martini, Anna Oxa and Andrea Bocelli. He participated eight times in Sanremo, reaching third place with Mietta in 1990 for ‘Vattene Amore’. His famous songs include ‘1950’, ‘L’Immenso’, ‘La Vita Mia’, ‘Cantare è d’amore’, ‘Amarsi è’, ‘Canzoni’ and ‘Notte Bella Magnifica’.

The event, which runs from 7 to 14 July 2024, transforms Ischia into an island of film and music. An incredible lineup wich includes Clementino, Arisa, Walter Ricci and even the Italian Army band.

The Ischia Global Film & Music Festival, produced and founded by Pascal Vicedomini, and chaired by Jim Sheridan is made with the support of MiC’s DG Cinema and Audiovisual and the Campania Region. The Accademia Internazionale Arte Ischia and SiaeRiflessi-Made In ItalyGivovaRainbow and Vulcano Buono promote the event.
