Edwige Fenech and Gabriele Lavia will be honored by director Pupi Avati. He recently directed them in his latest film ”La quattordicesima domenica del tempo ordinario”. Tony Renis, honorary president of Ischia Global, said: ”It is with admiration and joy that we celebrate an authentic lady of show business, an actress beloved by audiences back on the big screen for maestro Avati, together with a matador of our theater such as Gabriele Lavia. There could not have been a better occasion to celebrate their long love affair with the stage and the audience.” Edwige Fenech is a 70s Italian icon of comedy and a cult figure in international cinematography and Hollywood. Gabriele Lavia is an actor, director, and screenwriter. He has acted in some of the most important movies in Italian history such as Deep Red by Dario Argento (1975.) and The Legend of 1900 by Giuseppe Tornatore (1998).
The Festival is conceived by Pascal Vicedomini and put together with Giancarlo Carriero, Marina Cicogna, and Franco Nero. The project is supported by D.G. cinemaMiC and the Campania Region. It gives opportunities to many young artists: over 1,400 authors have already applied to participate through Filmfreeway. Valerio Esposito’s Double Soul opens the 21st Ischia Global Film & Music Festival.
