MATTEO GARRONE FETED WITH “ISCHIA TRUMAN CAPOTE AWARD” AT ISCHIA GLOBAL FEST 2024

Matteo Garrone won the “Ischia Truman Capote Award”, dedicated to the great American author who loved the green island. This prestigious award was presented to him during the 2024 edition of the Ischia Global Festival, which took place from 7 to 14 July. The Italian director, Matteo Garrone known for films such as ‘Gomorra’, ‘Dogman’, and more recently ‘Io Capitano’, was selected for the 2023 Academy Awards and was among the finalists in the Best International Film category. The ceremony held at the Tenuta L’Incanto in Forio d’Ischia was a moment of celebration and recognition for his talent and artistic commitment.

The Ischia Global Film & Music Festival, produced and founded by Pascal Vicedomini, and chaired by Jim Sheridan is made with the support of MiC’s DG Cinema and Audiovisual and the Campania Region. The Accademia Internazionale Arte Ischia and SiaeRiflessi-Made In ItalyGivovaRainbow and Vulcano Buono promote the event.
