The Ischia Global Film and Food Festival opened its doors with an extraordinary welcome for two great figures of cinema: Irish director Jim Sheridan and renowned Italian producer Aurelio De Laurentiis.
Jim Sheridan, known for his sensitivity and involvement in social and human issues, is this year’s festival president. Sheridan has directed unforgettable films such as “My Left Foot” and “In the Name of the Father”, demonstrating a deep empathy for the stories he tells his presence adds a touch of magic to the island, confirming once again that Ischia is a place loved by great artists from all over the world.
On the other hand, Aurelio De Laurentiis, one of Italy’s most influential producers, brings with him vast experience in the film world. His vision and commitment have helped create such impressive works as ‘La grande bellezza’ and ‘Gomorrah’.

The Ischia Global Film & Music Festival, produced and founded by Pascal Vicedomini, and chaired by Jim Sheridan is made with the support of MiC’s DG Cinema and Audiovisual and the Campania Region. The Accademia Internazionale Arte Ischia and Siae, Riflessi-Made In Italy, Givova, Rainbow and Vulcano Buono promote the event.
